The crocodile attacked and badly injured a Mossman fisherman, Amos Banker. The crocodile was over 13 ft long with a girth of 5 ft. 10 ins. It was trapped by James Fraser and took 15 men to lift onto a lorry before being transported to Fraser’s camp.
